On October 14, 2026, as part of the IQusion Days series, IQusion IT LLC organized a training seminar for its clients on the topic of "Cybersecurity Based on the Zero Trust Principle in IQusion IT LLC Products." Participants discussed modern approaches to protecting corporate information systems, managing data access, and implementing Zero Trust principles into the architecture of software solutions.
During the seminar, company expert Serhii Balashuk highlighted the importance of the Zero Trust concept ("zero trust") against the backdrop of increasing cyber threats and the complexity of corporate IT infrastructure. Special attention was paid to the architectural features of developing information systems that comply with the principles of this concept, as well as approaches to ensuring the security of corporate data.
Zero Trust: Connection Location No Longer Determines Trust
Traditional information security models were primarily based on protecting the corporate perimeter. It was assumed that devices and users within the protected network could have a higher level of trust than external connections.
The Zero Trust concept changes this approach. Its core principle is "never automatically trust, always verify." No user, device, or software component should gain access to information resources solely based on its location within the corporate network.
The implementation of Zero Trust involves a set of interconnected mechanisms:
- Verification of Identity and Access Rights. Every request to protected resources requires appropriate authorization.
- Principle of Least Privilege. Users and software components are granted only the permissions necessary to perform their tasks.
- Access Segmentation. Limiting interaction between individual system components reduces the risk of attack propagation.
- Monitoring and Auditing. Logging and analyzing security events help detect suspicious activity in a timely manner.
- Security at the Architecture Level. Protection mechanisms are considered from the very stage of information system design, not added after development is complete.
Security in the Architecture of Corporate Systems
The seminar detailed the specifics of architectural design for software products in accordance with Zero Trust principles.
This issue is particularly important for modern business process management systems. Such solutions integrate users with different permissions, corporate documents, databases, external services, and automated processes. Consequently, protection must encompass not only the login procedure but also subsequent operations with information.
An architecture built with Zero Trust in mind allows for more flexible demarcation of user rights, control over access to individual functions and data, and mitigation of the consequences of potential account compromises.
It is important to note that Zero Trust is not a standalone software product or a universal security tool. It represents a comprehensive approach to building information security, combining technological, architectural, and organizational solutions.
Practical Significance for Business
The application of Zero Trust principles is becoming particularly relevant for enterprises that use distributed information systems, remote access, integrations with external services, and business process automation.
Implementing this concept helps organizations reduce the risks of unauthorized access, enhance the controllability of operations with corporate information, and limit the potential consequences of cyber incidents.
The training seminar was part of IQusion IT LLC's efforts to familiarize clients with modern approaches to the development, implementation, and secure operation of corporate information systems.
IQusion IT LLC continues to focus on cybersecurity issues and the development of software solutions, taking into account current information protection requirements.
