On 19 October 2026, IQusion IT LLC held a summary training seminar for its clients as part of the IQusion Days series – “AI Governance and RAG: Enhancing Control over Data, Security, and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence Use.” The event addressed modern approaches to integrating AI into corporate information systems, risk management, and control over algorithm operations.

The implementation of generative artificial intelligence expands opportunities for business process automation, document analysis, data retrieval, and support for management decisions. At the same time, the application of AI in the corporate environment creates a number of new challenges related to the protection of confidential data, the accuracy of generated responses, the delineation of authority, and responsibility for decisions made with the involvement of algorithms.

Consequently, technologies and organizational approaches that enable the use of artificial intelligence benefits without losing control over the enterprise's information resources are becoming increasingly important.

AI Governance: How an Organization Manages Artificial Intelligence

One of the key topics of the seminar was the concept of AI Governance – a system of principles, policies, and procedures that regulate the development, implementation, and operation of artificial intelligence within an organization.

Unlike standard software administration, AI management requires additional control mechanisms. This is due to the specific nature of generative models, whose operational results cannot always be fully predicted.

An effective AI Governance system encompasses several core components:

  • Data Access Management. Defining the information that AI is permitted to use and restricting access to confidential corporate resources.
  • Transparency and Controllability. The ability to track AI usage, analyze its operational results, and assign responsibility for relevant processes.
  • Risk Management. Identifying potential errors, inaccurate responses, algorithmic bias, and other threats.
  • Personal Data Protection. Compliance with requirements for confidentiality, lawful processing, and information security.
  • Human Oversight. Retaining the ability for authorized employees to review, correct, and approve the results generated by intelligent systems.

For enterprises and government institutions, implementing AI Governance allows for the establishment of unified rules for the application of artificial intelligence and ensures its compliance with internal information security policies.

RAG: How Artificial Intelligence Works with Corporate Data Sources

Special attention during the seminar was given to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology – the generation of responses using information obtained from clearly defined external sources.

Large language models typically generate responses primarily based on knowledge acquired during training. For this reason, they may use outdated information or generate convincing but factually incorrect statements – a phenomenon known as AI "hallucinations."

RAG technology enables the enhancement of language model operations with current data from corporate knowledge bases, electronic documents, regulatory materials, and other information sources.

For example, when an employee asks a question about the company's internal regulations, the system first finds the relevant documents and then uses their content to formulate a response.

This approach offers several advantages:

  • Utilization of up-to-date corporate information without the need to retrain the language model after every document update.
  • The ability to provide links to the original sources on which the response is based.
  • Reduction of the risk of inaccurate information.
  • Integration of artificial intelligence into existing corporate knowledge bases and document management systems.
  • The possibility of applying information access rules according to user permissions.

However, the application of RAG alone does not guarantee the accuracy of responses or data security. This requires additional mechanisms for source verification, access control, and protection against manipulation of input information.

Human-in-the-loop: Human Involvement in Decision-Making

Another important topic of the event was the Human-in-the-loop (HITL) concept, which involves mandatory human participation at certain stages of an automated system's operation.

In practice, this means that artificial intelligence can analyze information, prepare documents, generate recommendations, and propose decision options, but the execution of critically important operations requires verification or approval by an authorized employee.

Specifically, AI can prepare a draft response to a citizen's inquiry, but before sending, the document is reviewed by the responsible official. Similarly in business: an intelligent system may suggest changes to a contract, but their final approval remains with a human.

This approach is particularly important in processes related to finance, HR decisions, legally significant documents, and personal data processing.

Human-in-the-loop allows for the combination of automated information processing speed with human professional responsibility, reducing the risks of uncontrolled actions by artificial intelligence.

Secure Integration of AI into Corporate Information Systems

For organizations planning to integrate artificial intelligence into their business processes, it is important to consider AI Governance, RAG, and Human-in-the-loop not as separate technological solutions, but as interconnected components of a unified architecture.

AI Governance defines the rules for using intelligent systems and responsibility for the results of their work. RAG provides the ability to access verified corporate information sources, and Human-in-the-loop allows for maintaining human control at critical stages.

The comprehensive application of these approaches helps organizations automate work with large volumes of information, increase labor productivity, and simultaneously mitigate the risks associated with the use of generative artificial intelligence.

The training seminar was part of IQusion IT LLC's activities aimed at familiarizing clients with modern technologies, architectural approaches, and practices for the secure implementation of artificial intelligence into corporate information systems.
